Timmy's swelling for his abscess was huge.
And when it burst it was even bigger than I expected, since sometimes the swelling can be very large but the actual abscess isn't as big as you think it would be. Not Timmy's :roll:
We are 4 days post-burst...I have done the saline flushing which has actually helped make things liquid and easy to get out. I started doing hydrotherapy tonight since its such a large cavity I think this might be best for him. He's also on abs to help against any more infection. Poor Timmy...he didn't like it but he took it well.
and a closeup so you can see how encapsulated this abscess was. A rat's body is very efficient with its abscesses.

Sweet Timmeh forgave me once he was back on all 4's and cuddled in my arms.
