New boy Helo (formely "Daddy") has a small bluberry sized lump under his chin. It is hard and move-able, can't tell if its attched to his windpipe equipment and whatnot, but it doesn't feel like it is. Was searching for related posts looking for some idea as to what to expect (was specifically looking for Ryder's (Ratty Momma) story but the darn space phone is acting up...) Helo is entirely too young and full of love and life for this. Thoughts? Experiences?

Treat it as an abscess. Compresses and Baytril if you have it.

I have afew boys that get them often there and same size.. they are gross wwhen they open too.

under the chin not on the neck? I also would treat as an abscess just in case.

Sprocket has had 2 abscesses there for 2 years now. They never pop, and I just treat them with clavamox everyday and they get a little smaller than peas and just fluctuate. I wouldn't get too worried as of yet.

I am treating w baytril and compresses as suggested for now. I am not sure if it is more accurately de3scribed as being on his chin or throat. Will post pics tomorrow. Really wish it would be just an abscess.
