Smidgen is my chubby bubby with the inguinal tumor and a LOT of lumps and bumps, some of which I feel certain are internal tumors

well tonight I found a new one, on her chest.

It amazes me that she's running around like they aren't even there, but I know eventually they are gonna be a problem.

Sometimes I think we are more bothered by their handicaps than they are. It's hard to watch them with it and know deep down their fate.

Sometimes I wonder if that is so, or if animals know when they're going to die. On all instances of any dogs in my family dying, they always gathered up all their strenght to waddle outside and not die in the house- even if they only made it across the street. It's as if they knew exactly when.
