Testing all natural pest control ...day one

well due to our sudden burgeoning pest population, i am in the process of testing an all natural combo which should kill pests but not harm our babies ..i absolutely hate using chemicals if i dont have to, or medications -which is why i genertally try to use alternative health methods and got certified in herbalism .. anyway .. back to the important stuff ..

as some of u may kno, we had a small blizzard of insecty intruders here which my vet determined to be a form of flea ..i went to the petstore in search of a natural/nonchemical way of dealing with them and found a spot-on made by Sentry. The ingredients are not tough to get ahold of and because they give u %'s used, its relatively easy for me to figure out how to make the stuff myself .. Im a chandler and soapmaker, so i have most of the items on hand (and have ordered those i dont from my supplier) ..i will say this- when applied to the bugs, it DOES kill them immediately .. i am hoping to move forward with a one spot treatment and also an environment spray

Cross your fingers and lets hope this works long term .. how nice to have a nontoxic way of dealing with some pests .. :joy:

Will update this post on a weekly basis for the next month

okies ... so the ingredients in the mixture have a toxicity level for pets as well as pests (most specificially for cats but also for other small mammals as well) While i kno that this is after long-term exposure and exposure to significant amounts of the herbals, i am not willling to take a chance with my - or anybody's babies ..so im scraping the 'copycat' from the store formula

im going to keep working toward an all natural and nontoxic pest control for our babies -but it might take awhile .. ill keep folks posted :cheeky:
