Lilly is about 20 months now. She has been on Baytril for the past two weeks for noisy breathing and it does not seem to be working. She gets all puffed up and attacks the young ones when they come near her. Last night I heard them going on in the cage so I went to check Lilly was frozen stiff all puffed out and her sides looked sunk in, a sign of PAIN? I petted her and her fur went down so I picked her up and loved on her for a few minutes, checked her over felt her tummy to make sure it was normal and when I put her back in the cage she was fine. Any ideas?
The vets around here are not very competent and will just prescribe more Baytril (they think it fixes everything).
edit: somedays her breating is great no noise and somedays not great and it gets worse when she is all puffy and freaked out.
