My boy Max was fine this afternoon. I had him and out and was playing with him. Put him away and he scurried off to a corner to look for food, then came back to the front to get the food I was placing in the cage. I came up about 2 hours later and hes lying still, breathing a little heavy, not responding to anything.

I picked him up and place him on a towel. He has some movement in his back legs and itches at his face, however he does not seem to be able to do anything with his front legs.

I'm going to take him into the clinic in the morning if he's not improved. Has anyone had a similar case?

One of my former fosters injured her spine but it affected her hind legs. The vet felt along the spine during the exam and you could see Amber had a pain reaction when she felt around the base of her spine. A high dose of Metacam helped a lot those first few days. I'm not sure if it ever corrected itself completely though and her adoptive family didn't get an xray done. I hope if it's an injury it's reversible.

He just passed away, fairly quietly. I think he must of had a head injury, because I can't think of anything else that would cause front limb, and not hind limb paralysis.

Aww im so so sorry :hugs: it sounds like ya he might have had a stroke or a devestating sezuire, not much you can do there, poor boy and so sorry for you, I hope you're able to recover
