I'm going to spay or neuter my ratties and put them all in the FN. I have 2 boys and 3 girls. What should I do boys or girls?

I'm going to recommend the girls because it will also give them a huge health benefit and reduce the risk of tumours.
Also, you can add the boys right away, there's no need to wait three weeks.

well, I've been quoted at one place $260 for spay and $160 for neuter with no additional cost on top.

How does that sound? I don't think I can do the females, males, yes.

I really want to get the girls done but it is not in my budget right now (the boys aren't either).

Anyways, I will get the boys done. I have an appointment on the 13th.

Females benefit the most from being spayed, but unfortunately they're usually much more expensive.

Getting your males neutered will be a quick fix, though, so you can then save up to get the females done in turn.
