Oscar was fine this morining. 20 minutes ago I went to take everyone out ..and Oscar was in his litter pan lied down (which he never does) ..I picked him up, he felt very cold ..his nose was covered in dark blood (not porph colored blood) and his chin was also covered. I cleaned him up with saline ..no squeaks and no cuts. Now he is very quiet sitting under the pillow. I gave him a treat and it took him 10 minutes to eat it ..usually it takes 2 seconds. His eyes also looked very small to me, they are a bit bigger now.

Any ideas?

Sorry :wallbang: I was in such a panic.

He will be 21 months on Feb 17
No previous Illnesses
Weighes 700 grams.
He is a quiet boy.

Body temp is back to normal, and he just had some ensure.

He never ate alot of ensure, like he normally would, and he will not take his favorite treat ...

It sounds like you came in after a big choke and the porphyrin had dried and was mixed with the saliva on his chin. Keep him warm and hydrated and see if her returns to normal after a long nap.

Will do.

He choked before too, but I was here ..and it was not this bad at all.

I would not have thought of that but it makes sense, a bad choking spell could have just exhausted him. Hopefully he's all better now

Oscar is back to his normal self today!

That boy needs to learn to slow down when he eats ..this is the second time ..the first time I was present, but it was not near as bad!

I totally know where you're coming from - Mr. H. had one not too long ago, this time with drool and everything, and we were terrified!

It's amazing how, if they're going to bounce back, they're just suddenly 100%, and 'Mommy, why are you crying while you hold me?'
