So I took Casper out this morning and noticed his tail was covered with blood.
He has a cut that is as long as his tail is wide on the top of his tail.
The cut is very clean and I have no idea how it happened, it's deep but not to the bone.
I cleaned it up and sanitized the cage to prevent infection. I thought about taking pictures but honestly you cant even see the cut unless you pull it apart and I didn't wanna stress him out more.
The bleeding had stopped by the time I got him out.
Do I need to take him to the vet?
I've been googleing for a hour and cant get a straight answer.
Could he have gotten this from a fight or is it more likely he got it hung on something overnight?
The cut had to have happened while he was in his cage.
I also need advice on how to get the blood stains off after he heals, his tail is stained black almost from all the blood.
