The other day I noticed two small growths under the arm pit of Vesper, my 13 month old female.

They aren't under the skin like a lump....its growing on the surface and looks like two bumps, a little bigger than a pin head, of fleshy tissue. They are soft and it doesn't seem like it it goes past the surface of the skin.

Any ideas what this might be?

I can try to take pictures but I don't know how well it would work.

EDIT: 2 months ago Vesper went in to have a lump removed, so I know she is prone to lumps. :sad3:

Yep... I've had several rats with unknown tiny bumps on their skin, almost like a dermal thing. Most times, it ended up being a dried abscess. The reason I know this, I decided one day to really squeeze the tiny bump and dried pus came out. Eww... and the skin cleared up.
In hairless, you see this a lot, it's called keratin cysts and usually best left alone.
But if it grows more and more, then it's cause for concern and could be something needing removal or antibiotics.

Thanks Jorats! I figured it wasn't much cause for concern, but I just wanted a second opinion.
