I've just noticed over the past couple of days that Whinny has been running around with her tail curved up over her back, it's like a big C and she holds it up in the air and curved over herself. She's moving and running and acting normally, so I don't think it's caused from an injury. Has anyone ever seen this? It's like she's showing off or doing some circus trick :giggle:

It's called a wheelie tail. Is she an avid wheel runner? If so, she's holding her tail up in the position it would be if she was running in a wheel. It became a habit for her to keep her tail up, let's say. :p

I've never heard of it being dangerous. :)

I love wheelie tails, they look so silly. Ellie doesn't run as much anymore, but when she does she'll have a wheelie tail.
My boy Lecter when he runs on the wheel, he puts his tail to the side hanging off. He has a few kinks in it as if it was injured in his past, so I'm not sure if it can even bend that way.

:laugh4: :laugh4: :laugh4:

That's it! She has Wheelie tail. I can't believe I haven't heard of this until now. But yes, she is an avid wheeler - my first one. We can wake up at any time throughout the night and we can hear her running in her Wodent Wheel.

Thanks so much for the replies! It's really nice to find out something fun and harmless for a change!

Oh, and Victoria, those are awesome pics of your girls. Thanks for the link :D
