I went to the vet today with the boys to get them treated for lice. (again) Besides the usual discussion about cleaning the environment and using Revolution, the vet suggested a flea powder called Sevin. It has only carbaryl powder in it. Apparently it's crummy for fleas but excellent for lice.
Has anyone heard of this? Would it be safe to use around the rats?

Yes, it is good on lice but I would never use a powder on rats. It's very old school. See if you can stick with the revolution.

Yeah, that's what I thought. It wasn't my usual vet. (He was in emergency surgery when I got there for my appointment.) I do however have another appointment for a another dose of Revolution next month.
