We finally moved The Trio into the rat room (the were in the living/dining room) and had them in there yesterday for out time. All was going well until my little Sebastian decided to to take on his cage mates - what's up with that? He's obviously way too little to win any battle and he was definitely being the aggressor, but no injuries resulted. I don't know what he was trying to do - silly boy! That little guy is definitely feeling much better and is becoming one happy little guy!

Sometimes they get a little ornery, don't they? How old is this group, and how long have they been together? (sorry, this info is probably in one of your other threads somewhere). I find even with established groups, especially as they're growing up, there will be random squabbles. Even in cages with an established alpha boy, sometimes there's a challenger.

Doesn't it seem like sometimes the littlest ones are always the ones stepping up thinking they can take on the big guys? :giggle:

I just got them about a month ago from a girl at work that need to re-home them, but they were born in February. Sebastian is a hydro rat so he is tiny....

Someone got Lovee yesterday he has a laceration on the side of his face - doesn't look serious. Noticed it before going to bed last night while giving the boys their "good night" treat he had a blood on his face.

Had them out again yesterday and this little guy is a trouble maker! Now that he is healthy and happy watch out - he runs around like he drank an energy drink and when that gets boring he goes after Lovee and Jack - he is definitely the aggressor and I'm starting to rethink my alpha of this group. Don't let his little size fool you - he's a bruiser.... However, when Lovee had enough he did let him know and then Sebastian ran right back into the cage and I swear he was pouting.... :laugh4:
