I ordered mine a couple months ago and have been using them for about 3 weeks now. I must say the clean up is so much quicker. I just cleaned 2 double FN in less than 30 mins. I usually take upwards of 30 mins per cage. I line the pans with flannel and then put the scatter guards on the sides. I now have much less poop and rat block hitting the floor (sorry Charlie and Sparky). I say for the money they were a good investment. I am sure the bass pans will hold up longer in the end, but for now I am very happy and very happy that cage cleaning has been cut to almost half my time.
The only real issue I have with them is they are a bit flimsy.

They looks great! I have had pans made for my CN but I don't use the top one unless I split the cage into two......so the guard would be great idea....
where did you order them?

These look great. I have only bought one of the pans sold by FlowerTown, because (although they prevent scatter) they stop me from using my regular liners. The guards look like a good solution.

Ok, since it has been a bit over 2 weeks since I made my post about this product it is time for an update. Am I still happy with them yes and no. The mess on the floor is less than it used to be, but........ they have become very flimsy and the backs are not holding up like I had hoped. :(
So on a scale of 1-5 I would rate them a poor 2.75. Would I order them again, no. Time to save up for bass pans.

I've been wondering about the best way to avoid the mess when it comes to CN/FN's. I used to have a FN for my girls, and the mess they made was insane. I loved the cage in every other way, but the mess they made on the floor was just too much.
I'm looking to get a new, large cage for my guys- but I'm unsure of what kind. I love the look of CN's, but what is the best solution for stopping the mess? I like the look of that product you posted- but if the reviews aren't good- then I'll keep looking.
Anyone have suggestions on affordable ways to keep the mess in?

I'm so glad I just saw this review. I was looking at the Flower Town Chinchilla website and saw these and I thought they were a great alternative to the bass pans. I guess not. lol
I'll go for the bass pans.
Thanks!

Have you seen the pans Marie has Jo? She ordered her's from here and they look really good.

I believe this is where my mom got hers and she was not too happy with them. She found the edges where they fold over the metal on the side to be very sharp. I also want mine coated.
The bottom pan at Flower Town is $28.95 so it's not much more than the bass equipment company. Also, I would think the shipping will be cheaper getting it from Ontario than the states.

With respect to the scatter guards, I was considering ordering them.
I spoke to the owner of Flowertown Chinchilla and he told me exactly what Eagle said, so I did not order them.
Good to know that you both agree about the scatter guards.
Thanks for the update Eagle

...... Maybe a strip of cloroplast (or the scarter guards) cable tied to the sides of the FN or CN would work as a scatter guard
