All of my rats are getting scabs on their backs/necks. I have them on Ivremectin right now (haven't TAKEN them to the vet, but she did give me the meds for them as I had noticed them scratching).

My question is could this be anything else or should I just wait until the Ivremectin doses are done first? Most of them are mild except for Newman who is pretty poor looking. Just wanted to get opinions on the best course of action.

If you think they have bugs I would do the Ivermectin. What's wrong with Newman? Is he acting strangely? If he's sick he can also be on Baytril with the Ivermectin.

I'd get all the doses in before worrying about anything else. Ivermectin should be 3 doses, once a week for three weeks to make sure you get the full life cycle of the bug. Also, don't forget to put all your wood in the freezer for 48 hours and do a good cage scrub down.
