Got a question. Hazel has a very rough tail on the underneath near the base. Is there any reason for this?

I like to use just water. Fill the sink [or the tub when doing groups] and toss in rats. Just enough water to cover half their bodies, and you can work the water through their coats and stroke their tails. In the case of seriously nasty tails, I'll use a soft toothbrush going from the base to the tip of the tail. Just be careful not to rub against the grain of the tail.
