Ronnie has been going downhill for a while, with less mobility and a thinning coat. the last few days he has eaten very little and refused his meds. He seems to have trouble finding food sometimes, and on Sunday he didn't even eat much porridge. That was a big change from last week. The last day he has eaten little else but watermelon and some yogurt.
He looked so miserable today. His breathing is faster than normal and his legs don't seem well coordinated. I'd have taken him in to the vet for probable euthanasia, except that I was too sick to leave the house.
Tonight I finally succeeded in giving him baby cereal & Ensure by syringe. He seemed hungry and thirsty, so I got quite a bit down him... including some Prednisone. All I can do is wait and hope, and give him some more food whenever he will take it.
