Rhombus
"Rhomboid" "Ratollelogram"

Rhombus was abandoned with thirteen of his brothers on the loading dock of the Lakewood, CO Petco on January 8th, 2014. They were left in the cold with no food or water, and one of my managers was threatening to "whack them" for snake food because our store didn't have the capacity to house that many adult rats.

I fought to save them, and so, all thirteen became my charges. I cared for them and when they had finished their course of antibiotics and Ivermectin, I took Rhombus and his brother, Mr. Wallace Stumptail, home with me. The remaining eleven were all successfully adopted in pairs or more to loving forever homes.

Rhombus is the most appreciative rat I've ever met. He loves EVERYTHING. He loves the other rats. He loves the Oxbow. He loves his people. He loves the little cat condo I bought for him. He never starts anything with the other rats and doesn't even try to steal their snacks. The only things he doesn't like are being groomed (he squeals like a sissy!) and having to take medicine (unless I hide it in tomato soup!)

I'm always worried about him because he's the lowest on the rattie totem pole (even below Shiloh, who's neutered) and he's so mild mannered and quiet.
