Revolution question

I couldn't make it to the vet today so my mom went by the vet's office for me. I told her to get a tube of kitten revolution. It turns out, they gave her feline revolution for adult cats. Am I correct in thinking it's the amount I actually put on each rat that counts not the amount in the tube? I think from dealing with my dogs that the only difference is the amount in the tube but the strength of the liquid itself doesn't vary. I just want to be sure before I use it!

Thanks! I have another question...how long should it take for the itchies to subside and the scabs to heal up?
Is there anything I should be doing in addition to revolution to make the rats more comfortable?
