OK the kids picked up mites from one of the rescues, so they all got their revolution. Now Bear (who NEVER has accidents) has had 2 really mushy poos. and on top of that she did one my hubby. SHe is now curled up in his arms, but she is just not herself... Is it possible she managed to injest some of the revolution? She is an overactive cleaner... compulsive actually, and really flexible.
Maybe I am being a hypochondriac, I dunno. Is it even possible? and if she did manage to injest some of it, what are the symptoms?

How long ago did you dose them all?

I'd think it would take a significant amount to overdose them or poison them on revolution.

From the Revolution insert: Accidental oral administration of Revolution Topical Solution to cats may induce salivation or vomiting.

From http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Rx_Info_S ... mectin.pdf:

Side effects may include: loss of appetite, salivation, diarrhea, vomiting, muscle tremors, fever and rapid breathing. Hair loss or skin irritation may occur on the application site.

An allergic reaction or overdose symtpoms may include - facial swelling, hives, scratching, sudden onset of diarrhea, vomiting, shock, seizures, pale gums, cold limps or coma.

Having said that, it's difficult to overdose on Revolution. Your rat would have had to have received approx. 10 times the recommended dose to overdose.

Try and get her to drink a lot of fluids - water, juice, or some watered down baby cereal or something similar to flush out her system if she is reacting this way from ingesting some of the Revolution.

Ok then no she did not overdose onthe revolution. She was given the right dosage, but she is fastidious about cleaning herself - and everybody else... at worst case she may have injested a little from cleaning either herself (she is very flexible) or another of her cagemates.
I just get so worried about them, I so often hear stories of them getting ill and going downhill fast... it terrifies me that I may miss a sign or symptom of something
edit: they were dosed yesterday in the am
