Legally this is a prescription medication - the dr should not be able to sell it without having a patient doctor relationship
however this is not always the case - just be prepared should they not be willing to sell it to you without a previous exam

Hmm ...

not sure if I like the idea of paying for an "unnecessary" vet visit on top of the cost of revolution.

Does anyone know the cost of the kitty stuff?

Another forum suggested I could buy it online, but I would never buy my meds online, so not sure about buying my rats med online.

I always order my Revolution from Pets Megastore. They haven't let me down yet and I can testify that the product is real - not some counterfeit knock-off.

When I try to buy it from a vet, they not only want the office visit they usually charge for a "skin scraping" also. And not only that but most of the vets I've dealt with don't even want to sell it to me. They try and talk me into giving my rats a dose of injectable ivermectin - which I absolutely don't agree with and will not do!

P.S. how many rats do you have?

I buy a large dog revolution and use it for my cats and rats and dogs......it is all the same stuff just in different package.
My vet told me the proper dose....I draw out the amount for each animal in a syringe with a needle and then drop it on them.....lots cheaper that way.

I've got 4 boys.

And I took a look at Pets Megastore, looks like its Australia based. Doesn't that mean significant shipping costs and long delivery time?

If its all the same stuff, perhaps Ill see if any of my dog owner friends have some.

Im not 100% sure that my rats have a problem, but I've noticed some scabs on their neck and back after recently gave them a box filled with carefresh to dig / nest in.

Small orders usually incur a bit of shipping costs (appx. $6.50 if you're ordering a single box), but it's still cheaper then getting it from the vet. Shipping time is usually about 3 weeks.

Is there not also an online company based out of Vancouver that you can buy it from without a vet script? I'm sorry, I just can't recall the name of it, right now.

I like to keep some on hand too, just in case (asked my vet for it last time one of the boys had the sniffles). Still have it, new ... unused (I'm pretty sure it hasn't expired yet, either). Where are you Prime?
