Revolution pink - for kittens!

does it have to be the kitten/puppy formula, or is that just because there's less in the tube and you don't need a whole lot for rats?

I can get the cat version from my vet but not the kitten one, is it ok to order it and just use less?

and where do I find the dosing?
thanks

Your vet should be able to give you the dosing!

If not, list your rat's weight's, I'm sure someone will help :D

I could be wrong, but I believe the reason people buy the formula for kittens is because it isn't as strong.

There's two different concentrations of revolution, 60 mg/ml and 120 mg/ml. It doesn't matter which one you use, as long as you have the proper dosage for each one. We tend to buy the largest available size from our vet, so we can do the most amount of ratties from it. Heh.

ok so I gotta weigh them all and I'll be good to go!

thanks!!

Chelle, will I need an insulin syringe, or can I do this by the drop?

ok thanks, I just called the vet because the order wasn't going thru, and they said they'd give me a couple of syringes free

i'll pick those up tomorrow

now to get the weights on two big squishy girls (easy!) and on two very hyper girls (not so easy!!)

I feel bad it took me this long to realize that's why Clair was scratching- oddly they seem to bother her more on one side then the other

but she's got a scab on that side from a small fight wound.

As far as I know...it's hard from them to OD on it. I once squirted an entire tube on one rat, by accident, and he showed no signs of any issues...he's still alive! lol
Better to be safe then sorry though!

The LD50 of Revolution is VERY high, you'd practically have to bathe your rat in it to overdose them on it. I still don't recommend giving a higher-than-necessary dose, though.

Yes, for sure! I wasn't recommending it..lol

LD50 stands for Lethal Dose 50%. It means, in testing, that it was the amount of drug given that killed 50% of the animals being tested. =(
