I just got two new rats two weeks ago who are 9 weeks old. They are in their own small cage as they are acclimating to meet my other two rats who are 1.5 years old.
one of the rats has developed a loud rattle coming from his lungs. I have compounded medication several times and had Zithromax on hand, or zpack. I had a very hard time getting him to eat it, so I had to use the burrito method to trick him. Does anyone have any idea what may taste better to hide the flavor ? Also, will this clear up that sound? He has no other signs. He’s running so crazy still, eating drinking and being goofy- the only thing that changed is a severe change in weather, it went from 80 all week to 18 degrees. I hope he’s okay, any advice is appreciated !
