Hi all, I let the bubbins out in gender groups for a play, all the boys were perky, bouncy and full of life, as were two of the girls, but one of them just kept finding a quiet corner to curl up in and lie very still. I fear something may be wrong with her. I tried listening to her breathing but all I can hear is her little heart thudding away, and it's the same with the healthy babies. Anyone know what this could be? I'm terrified something is deathly wrong with her and she's just trying to hide it :(

keep an eye on her for continued lethargy. It was always my first sign something was wrong with a wee one.

Thank you both, but no idea what it could be a sign of? I really hop she perks up...I'll watch her for a bit when I give them their veg for the night...

A change in behaviour is not a good sign. Injury would be the most obvious problem, but it could also be something internal like megacolon. If no improvement by tomorrow, I would seek an emergency trip to the vet's.

Ok, thank you. I did check her over and she was mobile enough to run up my arm to nestle into my neck. Megacolon would be rare - it's really not that common in the UK and she's not a high white, but I'll keep a close eye on her...if they'd get out of their little grass hut >.<

Just checked on her this morning and she's pinging around just fine with her sisters. Perhaps she was frightened coming out for playtime for the first time without her mum and reacted differently to the others? She looks absolutely fine now, munching away at breakfast as soon as it was placed in the cage, little girl's got me baffled! It's Rose btw, I've named her, and Shank, and one girl remains nameless, as do three of the boys :p
