Question about QT

So I wanted to know what I'm looking for (other than URIs) while these new guys are being QT'd at my parent's house? They seem quite happy and healthy. If I got them from a breeder do I still need to stick with a 2 week QT...they're 7weeks old?

You want to keep an eye on their poops, eyes, coat, lungs, porphyrin... if they all check out well in 2 weeks, then you should be safe.
Even if they are from a breeder, there's no health guarantee so I would still do the quarantine.

Yeah, I realized that would be the answer I'd get...I'm just impatient LoL .

Just curious, what kind of diseases could they bring in that are contagious and the signs. I know SDA is one...what are the signs of that?

SDA and I believe Sendai as well also aggravating their myco to the point of developing pneumonia and this can happen when rats go through a change. When your rat have pneumonia, then they can pass that on as well.
