I was wondering if it would be safe, being that it's still cold here, to let my ratties do some Pea Fishing, if I'm to use warm water instead of cold and as long as their room is warm (around 68-70 degrees)

Thanks for any advice :D

Yeh go for it! I use room temp water anyway, if not the tiniest bit luke warm... the should be fine!! Just watch out for their ears... They're not really supposed to get water in their ears, but they are pretty good at shaking it off when they get any on their faces.

Don't worry about it being cold outside, your babes should only get their noses and paws wet. Just be sure to keep them dry if you have a diver!!

Look at it as if you were apple bobbing... you wouldn't want cold water, but you wouldn't want hot either! A touch warm is perfect.

If you do it, try take some pictures!!! :D

I always just use room temp water. So long as you don't have a bowl so deep that they get thoroughly soaked when they hop into it, they're not going to get all that wet really.

My house is kept around 65F, and I just let the girls have at it. If anyone gets really soaked, I just dry them off a bit with a hand towel.

I bought a paint tray from the dollar store. That way they can walk into it. I have't tried it yet. Probably tonight.
