My fiance's rat Fran is what seems part albino. Anyway, she's a white capped rat with gray around her eyes. Her eyes are black when you look at the straight on, but have a deep reddish hue when looked at under light. He thinks she might be blind, but her eyes aren't foggy. Could she just be half albino? Or a special rat?

Thanks guys.

She's a very shy baby rat, so he thought she might be blind and having a difficult time coping with her new cagemate and surroundings. Basically because she sits in the loft all day, even if we try to hold her, she jumps back in. We thought because of her blindness, she was scared.

We'll just be more patient and tender with her. At least she's not blind!

Rats don't really use their eyesight. Their sense of smell and touch (whiskers) are extremely sensitive so that's how they get around.
I'd do extra socializing with that baby so you can bond and make her feel more secure.
