My babies are getting neutered on Tuesday.

I'm so nervous. I hate having to leave them there without their mommy. They're going to be so scared and confused. :(

bahhh.

and i'm also so nervous about the healing process.

how long does it take? and any tips? how am i supposed to handle free range time when they're leaving?

It's very normal to be nervous. I'm still nervous when mine go in and I've been through dozens of them.
Recovery time depends on the rat. Sometimes it's really fast while others take a few days. When they come home, offer them yummy foods and be sure their habitat is clean. That's about it. Rats heal real fast and they will forgive you. :wink2:

I know the feeling. I always get nervous before one of mine has surgery.

If you have an experienced vet, chances are very high that all will be well. You may want to request Metacam to give post op for the second to fourth days, to reduce pain.
