Possibe Abscess...Hopefully not a Tumor

My poor Leonard...

First a bad cold...

Then Bumblefoot...

Then not getting along with Sheldon and a fight breaking out..

Now something on the side of his face that looks either like an abscess or tumor...

It's so blended that I could barely tell from afar, but when I saw him closer this morning, it appear to be a bum on the side of his face.

He'll be going to the vet asap, but still...any idea of what it may be?

Update! It was a ABSCESS* it popped! I have medicine to kill the bacteria and kill any infection...so here's hoping it all goes uphill from here!

*Wipes forehead and sighs*

I've always wondered about this since my Nellie. I've thought since that if it could break open and get cleaned out it was an abscess. Tumors are usually connected to a blood supply at best and more at worst aren't they?

Whoops! Sorry, I made a typo. It wasn't a tumor, it was an abscess.

CCOF, you will need to flush out the abscess cavity at least twice a day with a saline solution. Soften and remove any scab that forms so you can do this. Just abs might not cut it for cleaning it out, as abscesses will heal over any remaining bacteria and it will grow again. If you flush it out for a few days it should finally heal properly
