Poor Cedric - Vet Update

My poor Cedric now has a lump on his face. I'm pretty sure it's cancerous. He's 26 months old. He stopped eating lab blocks today, so he gets baby food and good stuff for a while. Paws crossed that it's an abscess, but I doubt it.

I'll keep him comfortable until it's his time to go.

Good thinking! I'll make an appointment for tomorrow. He's had bad resp. issues for a long time now, so I can't put him under.

I looked in his mouth last night and his teeth seem fine. Have an appointment this morning at the vet. Paws crossed.

The growth grew even more overnight. I may have to let him go.

So, it's not a tumour. It's a nasty abscess. I noticed that it was a little smaller this afternoon than it was this morning. But it has burst on the inside of his mouth. :sick2: He wants to wait to put him under iso to clean it up because Cedric's breathing is crap.

Nebulizing, giving antibiotics, and lots of paw crossing it gets better, not worse. If he is still doing bad later, he will go in for risky surgery tomorrow.

If/when his breathing clears up, we'll have work done to see if it's a tooth problem. Because his breathing is so crap, he didn't want to stress him with xrays or anything just yet.

His breathing is getting better. Will xray some time this week. Think it's probably a tooth that will need to be taken out.
