I was just talking with jorats the other day about how she plays with her rats and I was curious how other people play with their rats? My rats enjoy climbing all over my shoulders and in my clothes (especially Kaiser-Brazil's still getting used to me). I want to spend more time playing with my rats and I was wondering what other people do to give me some ideas.

Lots of people do hand-wrestling with ratties. Rats also enjoy chasing cat toys, especially ones with feathers at the end. You've already discovered that humans are the favourite rat toy: we provide climbing gyms, tunnels, caves, mini-highways, salt licks, etc...

My favourite thing (even though it is not playing with them) is to watch them run through clear tunnels, such as the ferret tunnels (they expand from 12-20 feet, and they can be put in loops.

Hand wrestling and sometimes cat toys here..
I only have one that actually bothers tho..
The rest either wants cuddles, or don´t want anything to do with me..

Our 3 boys, the youngest is 26 months oldest is 31.5, think that out time means: explore, explore, sniff, sniff, snooze, cuddle, snooze.

My older rats just want to hide in my sweater or snooze. My younger ones I can get popcorning around by 'bouncing' at them with my hand. I'll lightly grab them, and then pull back quickly to the space in front of them. Grab them again, withdraw again. My little girl Sabrina will bounce forward when I withdraw, then back again. It gets them all riled up and running around wrestling. It's so cute to watch!

I am their fav toy :D

They LOVE to get in my sweater! and some get excited when I rub their butts haha htey go all crazy.
