Peter

Peter was two years old at the beginning of Nov.
He developed hind end degeneration a few weeks ago (as has his mother/aunt Joy).
Peter has always been a relaxed, laid back boy but I have noticed this week that he seems off.
Peter just doesn't respond very fast, his thinking seems slow, off .... he sleeps alot and seems slugish.
He accidently fell off the side of the couch twice yesterday evening ... it is like a nightmare ...
I am afraid that what happened to his twin sister Faith is happening to Peter ( viewtopic.php?f=20&t=14216 )

I started Peter on pred and baytril.
Please let me know if you have any other ideas.

The pred has been helping, however, Peter is slowly losing ground ...
Peter is still able to eat soft foods and able to get himself out of corners when he gets stuck. :thumbup:

Hoping for a lot more good quality time with this special little guy.

Thanks Maple ... 10 rats presently on meds ... hope they soon start feeling better.

Peter is continuing to decline.
He now forgets to eat .....
He does eat when hand fed but it is difficult to keep him interested in the food.
Peter would rather wander .... it is amazing how fast he can travel with his hed.
Peter is confused, but seems happy.
I don't think Peter is going to be around much longer.

When Peter stops being able to eat or seems in pain, he will be pts by my vet.

Aww, I'm sorry. I had a guy named Peter not too long ago. I never really got to know him I hope your Peter feels better soon :cuddle:
