Oscar - Weight Loss - Old Age?

Oscar is one of mommas three remaining babies out of 6! ..he will be 24 months old next month along with Toby and Teddy.
This past month or so I have noticed he had been loosing weight/skin sagging (like on an old person). A few months ago we stopped feeding just Extrusion and started feeding Harlen mixed with it! ..Oscar is not a fan of the Harlan.

He is healthy otherwise. He was a big boy at 700 grams, now at about 650 grams.

Any ideas?

 

I don't know when to expect signs of old age to appear, nor what to expect.

I can tell you his Momma was only 5 to 6 months when she had 6 babies (2 never made it out of the membrane sacs - she was bleeding from the vagina area 2 days prior to birth - keep in mind this was my first time ever owning rats).

One of his brothers had a heart attack after a neuter (he was waking up in recovery and turned blue within 2 seconds) he was 12 months
His other brother had colon cancer at 14 months of age ..we had exploratory surgery done and determined there was cancer in his colon that was impossible to remove)
His only sister died of PT at age 18 months.
His Momma died of PT age aprox age of 28 to 29 months.

Not sure if family history can help!

It sounds like typical weight loss due to change in diet. I wouldn't worry about it yet. But do keep an eye on the weight loss.
