Orange stools

Last night, I noticed a few orange-ish stools in the litter box, and saw Chester doing his business to find out he was the one making those. I researched a little bit and some say it can be normal, but since this is the first time I see this, I wanted to check with you guys... what could this be?

It usually depends on what they've eaten. Can you think of anything orange?

I kind of freaked out first time I saw orange/redish stools... then remembered I have fed them a mix of veggies that included a lot of steamed carrots and red peppers...

Some of those chew logs are pretty highly dyed, as well. When we first got one, the girls were eating more of it than their block, and their poop was the same reddish orange. Chew log is now an out-time only treat. =)

Anything red or orange (carrots, sweet potatoes, Booster) can turn their stools orange. I don't think it's anything to be concerned about.

This comes out confirming what I could find. Relief! The only orange they had was carrots, and this was not the first time. Didn't find anymore tonight, so whatever it was seems to have passed. I was not too worried since Chester was as full of energy as ever, but still, they can go so fast, I didn't want to risk not asking and regretting it later!

Hey, tonight you can feed them spinach and you can have a colourful litter box tomorrow!
