Toby started out 6 months ago with raspy breathing, porph discharge and lot's of sneezes. He was put on baytril + doxy for 30 days. After a month after that the symptoms flared up again. He was then put on Doxy longterm, he would be on it for a month and then off for a month. He has been off the Doxy now for a week and has now started making grunting sounds that I can hear accross the room, but they are not constent. He eats fine and is active, but dose have a little porph discharge from his nose. My vet wont be back in clinic until Wednesday, but I do have access to Doxy and Baytril. Should I put him on both? or should I leave it until Wednesday until my vet can hear?
Also should I get x-rays done to check his heart?

Any suggestions would be helpful!

Edit: what med's should I request?

I thought I answered a post similar to this? *scratches head*

If you feel your little guy is doing ok on just the doxy, I would probably keep that up. If he declines or there's extra symptoms, then do add the Baytril.
Some rats will be weaker and have ongoing URIs for all of their lives. A pulse treatment might work which is doing meds for a couple of weeks, stopping for a week and starting up again.
