I have a cage of old men. 32 months and 28 months. And the 28 mo/old...his skin and fur have changed. His fur is thinning and 'wirey' and he's getting dandruff and very very small scabs, and this is only happening on his rump. He's also has a bit of congestion that I am treating him for (doxy/baytril). Is this something normal for old men? These are my first pair to actually reach the golden age. haha.

Thanks.

Sadly this is pretty common. You can try and give him a bit of olive oil in his food to help with the flaky skin. :hugs:

Thanks. I wasn't sure if it was lice, bc it's only on his rump area and no scabs on his neck. And no one else in the whole room has any problems :( I'll pick up some rev. this weekend and I also have some shampoo from the vet I'll use as well to help. *sigh*
