He is acting just like Aslan was yesterday. I think they were really just holding on for each other. Miraz is so sad and so am I. *sigh*

You can tell he is depressed. He was fine this morning until his brother passed on. He was laying on top of the waffle house while Aslan was in it.

I'm sure he is heading where Aslan is. He has poly on his nose and he is not breathing well. I gave hin 6 cc's of pedialtye and about 9 cc's of boost.

So sorry for you loss. Poor little Miraz probably figures he should be joining his brother. If he crosses the bridge to be with his brother be happy for him because they will be together.

I don't know how you guys can deal with this, especially since a lot of you have had rats longer than me and more at a time.

You learn to endure. You learn its part of the process of having these wonderful little beings in your life. Some people cannot handle it after all, and we understand that. A rat's life is on average 2 years but as we all know not even that long is a guarantee.

You have to think this. Pain, sadness, worry and expense in your life with them sharing it, OR no pain/stress/worry/expense and never having them in your life again. You need to weigh what is best for you and them.

Aw Melissa big hugs to you.

You know you are sad when they go but they bring so much joy to your life you couldn't do without them. I think that's how you get along.
