Seeing Dr. P. tomorrow. Maz is coming down the homestretch and slowly losing his battle to chronic resp issues. I'm pretty sure he has pulmonary abscesses. Is dexamethasone something that will be helpful if he has a big resp attack? If so, I want to beg dr. P for some. Maz is still so bright, I don't want to let him go before I have to, but I fear the only way I'll know is when he has a big attack. I don't want to take him in for pts when he's in distress. Would dex be something to give him relief long enough to say goodbye and get him in to the vet?
Going to see about Bear being tested for heart failure. In the past dr. P would listen to a rat and declare the heart sounded good. We'll Bear sounded good last visit so we just treated with abs. Despite whatever dr. P may hear, I'm convinced its the heart. I really hope he is open to trying to diagnose it with drugs.
