I'm freaking out pretty badly right now.
Over the weekend, Morrissey started having awful sneeze fits again. He has a history of sneeziness, thought it was allergies but after a few weeks of Baytril the mysterious sneezes cleared up. Whoever said an infection can sit and fester and cause allergy-esque sneezes was right.
Now it's started again, and it's worse than ever. Took him in Monday morning, he was started on Doxy and Baytril. So since then, he's had 4 doses counting this morning's. I know I should give abs at least 3 days to work. But these sneezes have become almost debilitating. They are loud and hiccupy, the fits are lasting longer each time. This morning he was having a much quieter sneezy fit, not big wet loud sneezes, and I thought 'Good, maybe the abs are finally starting to do some work'. 10 minutes later he was back to those big, wet loud sneezes that just break my heart to listen to.
Otherwise he is bright-eyed and perky, still trying to cause mischeif left and right, good appetite.
The other 3 boys are now following his lead with their own sneezes. Nothing too serious, but I'm seeing wet noses and porphy discharge all around. Max is my biggest worry atm. I heard some snuffles out of him and he sounded congested when we id rat phone.
Big field trip to the vet today. Everyone is very bright and alert and not acting sick, but I'm still concerned. Hera never had a proper quarantine, and after watching her go downhill and pass so quickly, I'm extra paranoid about my other boys. Heh, also extra paranoid about what the bill with be today. *sighs*
Anyway. If anyone wants to share any stories about their own kids having the dastardly sneezes and eventually getting back to normal on abs, now would be a great time to share. I'm worried sick right now that they've all caught something from Hera and will get very bad and die just as quickly as she did. I think the kind of vibes I am looking for right now are courageous ones.
PS I know I'm being panicky and irrational right now, possibly for no reason at all. Urgh. Sorry.
