Well, he's been on and off meds (currently been on them for 2 week again) and I'm also giving him neb. treatments or an ongoing URI, nothing too severe. He hasn't lost weight but his body has changed. His shoulder area is thinner. And he's about 22ish months. I don't know his exact age at all. But anywho...we noticed today that he's acting a bit off. He's eating and drinking just fine. Actively running and jumping but just doesn't seem right. He's really hard to get out of his cage, and when we have him on the couch, he'll romp around and then stop...and start 'half bruxing' and breathing a bit off and just kind of 'stares'

I don't know if he's just getting old...or if something's up. *shrugs*

Oh..and he's also peeing a bit more than normal. But it's a normal color. The only thing that has changed wit him, is my nakie is now in the cage with him and is a quarter of his age. So...he's being 'tortured' with the guy running circles around him. Hahaha. Not sure if they can get stressed or not by that.

Any suggestions?

He does look good in the vid. My Bear acts quite similarly. He frequently doesn't want out of the cage, and when he does come out he'll dart this way and that and then just stop. He doesn't sit and brux, but he sits and sways a lot. He began doing this more since his new and very rambunctious brother moved in with him. It makes me wonder if he's constantly stopping and listening and watching, waiting for his brother to pounce. But at times he just sort of seems to be in a trance or something.

Hmm, hard to say. You will be the best one to judge his behaviour to see if he's really 'off'. It could be something as dire as bruxing from pain, or the beginnings of a PT, or it could just be that he's happy to be out once he's out, and is just chillin'. My first rats especially would always hang on to anything to prevent being taken out of their cage.

He seems normal this morning, but he was definitely very off last night. Maybe he just needed a good poop. LOL Or maybe he was excited that he was outside of the cage without the naked nuisance around.
