My boy Splinter, almost a year and a half old, seemed fine earlier today but just now before bed my husband handed him to me to say goodnight and he squeaked at me, which he usually only does when we play, and then I realized he's not using one of his hind legs at all. Hs holds it up when he walks and won't sit on it. There's no bruising or swelling, he's letting me touch it, didn't argue with gentle ambulation, and he's still his normal self otherwise, eating, drinking, cleaning himself, moving around the cage, just a little slower. I'm a first time rat mom and I'm just wondering if I should rush him to the vet in the AM or wait it out a day or two to see if there's any change.
