Two weeks ago I got 3 new babies ( :emb: lol), 2 boys and a girl. The boys were 4 weeks old (was told 5, but then said they were born Jan 19th, and I got them Feb 17th...even worse is she had told me a week prior they were ready to go!) The girl I got from the pet store  it was the first time I saw a fawn, some of you might know how much I wanted one. Well she is small compared to the boys, I don't know if it's just her build/genetics or if she could have been younger than 4 weeks (she didn't look super babyish). I had seen a sister of the boys and she was the same size as them so...

Anyway that makes the boys 6 weeks tomorrow, and the girl I guess 5 or 6 weeks. I have read to intro at both 8 and 10 weeks...what is the opinion here for intro ages? For some reason I am nervous about these intros even though mine have been through a couple...maybe because they're older now. Also awhile back someone had posted that their adult male had killed a new baby male they had gotten, so that's in my mind too.

Males: Luther is almost 6 months, Sumach is about 4.5 months. They were intro'd back at Christmas time. Intro went very well, Luther remains the alpha and he does dominate (pinning and grooming) but I've never seen real fighting.

Females: Freya is almost 7 months, Thora and Sassafrass are about 4.5 months. Thora I got first, from the pet store and Freya a couple days later from kijiji. I pretty much just stuck them together and they were fine (Freya was 2.5 months, Thora probably 4ish weeks). When I got Sassafrass, Freya picked on her on my bed and fought her in the cage but after an hour in the tub together, a deep cage clean, and rearranging of furnishings, she got along fine with her (and I think she actually likes her more than Thora). That was back at Christmas too.

So what age should I intro them, and should I just put 1 rat with them at a time?

I wouldn't intro babies until the are 8 weeks old and if they are big enough to run or defend themselves. I never do one rat at a time, to me it's a waste of time because the group functions as pack with an alpha and betas and omegas.
