Hi everybody. I introduced myself a while ago and have adopted two juvenile females. They've been a lot of fun to watch, but they are extremely scared of me or anybody really. They are very jumpy and nervous. My boyfriend and I have made time each night to sit by the cage and spend some time with them, and also we try to hold them some as well. But they are just so afraid of us I feel so bad :(

I've been offering treats, I made them a hammock and a box. They spend most of their time in the box or on the hammock. They won't take good from our hands but sneak the treats when we aren't looking.

Any suggestions on what we can do to help them adjust? They do not bite or anything. They're just simply scared.

Have you tried baby food on a spoon? It makes them stay close if they want to get any.

What part of the home are they in? I would have them in a high traffic area and leave a radio on so they won't startle with each little noise. When you open the cage, put your hand in there with treats and pet them and rub their heads to get them to start hopping around.

I'll pick up some baby food on Monday, and they are in the din. It's high traffic when we are there. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try leaving the tv on they are right by it.
