I swear when it rains it poors. But it is our fault. As you all know the girls have their own room with a board that blocks them in. We had to put cardboard on it that kinda sticks out because Mya was able to jump up to the board. She hadn't been jumping for a little while which was nice.

The boys cage is in the living room and is by the small couch so they can go from the couch to the cage. Well on March 21st we went out for an hour and didn't even think to put the boys in the cage.

When we got home Monte was on the other couch, Tiberious and Griffin where on the smaller couch where they were supposed to and miss Mya was on the floor by the couch eating popcorn!

Ang and I just looked at each other like OMFG. This is not good at all. :wallbang: :gaah: :panic:

We weighed her on March 23 and she was 351g on March 24 she was 371g and today Mach 25th she was 382g

Can she gain weight that fast?!!!!! I'm so stressed out. I'm already not feeling good 'cause I fell down my brothers stairs the other day and trying to find a better job. So the thought of babies is really stressing me out.

Not only the thought of babies but Tiberious is a high white! What happens if she's pregnant and he's the father?

So our questions:
1. Is our scale messed up or can she gain weight that fast?
2. If Tiberious is the father can he pass the high white gene to the babies?

:gaah: :gaah: :gaah: :gaah: :gaah: :gaah: :panic: :panic: :panic: :panic: :panic: :wallbang: :wallbang: :wallbang: :wallbang:

31 grams in the first 4 days of pregnancy? I wouldn't think so, the massive 10 gram plus jumps are usually in the last week of pregnancy.

BUT have you ever done this before, left the boys and the girls out like that with a possibility of your wee one getting back on the other side before you got home?

does she have the lumpy pear-shaped belly?

Yes, he can definitely pass on his high-white genes. How much white does he have? Headspot or a blaze, etc.

Tiberious is on the right of Griffin

No I don't think she looks like she has a lumpy pear shape belly. There was maybe once or twice we forgot and I suppose the possibility of her jumping out would happen. But she doesn't look pregnant. We'll have to try and get a picture of her belly tonight.

If it was me I wouldn't be pondering weather she was pregnant or not I would have her spayed ASAP. Then get all those boys neutered or all the girls spayed.

The boys are going in for a neuter April 21st, and we wanted to do an e-spay but funds are extremely tight right now where I'm not getting many supply jobs and only working the weekend at Toys. I'm looking for a third job and Angies hrs have been cut at work due to the economy. So things are not the best at the moment on the money front. Not to mention we're moving at the end of April.
Mya is around a year and a half we think.

Eegh not a good age for a first litter, and lets hope its your scale saying she gained 30 grams.

I would replace the batteries in your present one and see if thats the problem

Yes .... very very dangerous to have a first litter after 8 months of age :sad3:

Hope she isn't pregnant .... hope none of your girls are pregnant .....

Mya's been the only one that has had any intentions of escaping so we're not really worried about the others girls. I'll have to wait for Ang to get home to try and change the batters. I tried and couldn't get it in there,my wrist hurts to much to fight with the stupid thing.

Need to get new batteries because the battery that we changed didn't work. We still weighed Mya this morning with the battery the scale came with to see what it said and there was no change in weight. But we're still going to get a new battery and try it just in case.

An hour with the boys may not be enough... she needs to be in heat for the boys to be successful. Also, the fact that there were more than one boy could work against a successful mating. Has there been a change in the males? Some males become aggressive after a mating, they will become competitive and there could be some in house fighting. Some people believe that females go into "menopause" at 18 months but there are reports of females having births at that age and older.
Also, the fact that there wasn't a boy next to her seems to suggest that nothing happen.
A female in heat is persistent, one mating is not enough, they want several... usually.
I'm trying to be positive and pray to god she is not pregnant.

The boys haven't changed any in behaviour. I'm hoping she's not pregnant either...I'm telling myself she isn't lol She has quite a strong personality so I dunno if she would have let them near her....so lets hope. We're going to still keep her on baby watch just in case. It's weird that there was such a weight increase in those first days we weighed her.
There was no change in weight again today!
