Nakie Eye Syndrome

One of my new girls, Jojo, has a slightly irritated eye, as is so very common with nakies, especially true hairless like she is. Are artificial tears safe to use to try to (gently) rinse out whatever the irritant is? Should I just go ahead and get some eye ointment from the vet for her instead?

Try eye drops first, but I would book an appointment if you feel anything is really up (like an infection).

All she has now is porphyrin around the irritated eye and occasional squintiness. If she goes to squinting all the time or there's the slightest hint of puffiness she goes straight to the vet, but for now I think she just got a bit of dust in her eye.

Definitely try the natural tears on her eye to aid in flushing irritants out. I am doing it every day with Lilith these days...seems to work
