Naked... Balls...?

I can't recall if this is something I never noticed before or not. But on Edward and Roy especially, the 'underside' of their tail supports are... well, bald! Just a little patch of skin, same spot on both rats -- and the skin is red -- which, to ME, looks like its irritated, compared to my own skin.

I think I read somewhere that males attacking each others testicles was a sign of aggression? Are these two fighting and 'shaving' each others manly bits, or is it possible Al is doing it?

I tried to get pictures but no one would stay still, and I don't blame them... LOL.

I've found rattie nads come in two styles, the soft dark or white furred ones depending on their colour, and the bald ones which look rather red and a funny shape in comparison, it'll most likely be normal - no boy rat would lie still long enough to let another groom the hair off their balls! Out of my five big boys, Mako is the only one with nads like this but it's totally normal. And excuse me being crass for a moment, but genital skin is generally darker than anywhere else! *giggle*

I just thought it'd be safe to ask -- Ed and Roy are always playfighting, I was hoping it wasnt worse then just that. Lucky them it doesnt seem to be so!
