I have a female rat (Nico), who is two years, ten months old. Her third birthday is coming up in August. :) I am a pre-med student studying to become a veterinarian, specializing in exotics (ultimately with a holistic/alternative/preventative spin). Nico's sister, Squit, passed away about a half a year ago from unknown reasons, but thankfully passed in her sleep. Nico now has a mammary tumor that is somewhat large, however, it is not impeding her mobility and she is still eating, drinking, and cuddling like always. I have done a lot of research in regards to stopping tumor growth and possibly buying a few months of quality life. (As a note, because of Nico's age, I have opted to not have her tumor surgically removed, and allow her to live her life as peacefully and naturally as possible). Anyway, through my research I came across a mushroom extract, Mycoplex Coriolus (coupled with shark cartilage to boost the effects). I can not find the extract online except for sale from the UK. I live in the US, however, and the closest I can find is in a health food store, however, it has questionable additives that I would never give myself, let alone my baby girl. So, my questions are:

Does anyone have personal experience with Mycoplex Coriolus?

If so, where did you obtain it (if in the US)?

Does anyone have any other personal experience (good or bad) with natural remedies in regards to tumors (mammary specific possibly)?

Thanks so much.

I'm not sure about the supplement you're asking about but there are other non-surgical options for slowing tumour growth. You may want to research/discuss with your vet Melatonin, Bromocriptine, Cabergoline, Deslorelin (Suprelorin) implants, and Lupron. (I left Tamoxifen out of that list because it is generally considered that the side effects outweigh any benefit.)
