Yesterday I cleaned "the boys" cage and switched out the potty liter for cage liter. I thought I would try that with the hope that Finn would not eat that. Their cage is fleece lined, but we use cage liter in the other cages we have. Anyway, Finn eats the potty liter and we don't know why so I wanted to remove it to see if he improves any. Almost immediately my boys started removing the liter from the pans and by this am almost all of it was out and piled next to the pans. I guess this is their way of protesting the change. :laugh4: However, they are still pooping in the pans. So, I have to ask myself - why am I spending money to put liter in the pans when they will poop in them anyway?

GMC almost immediately was in the pans, had a mouth of liter and was spitting it out at me. :laugh4:

I feel the same way, My Dre will take as much litter out of the box as he can
but they will both still poop in the litter box

he stashes that litter like it was a great treasure

I put it in only because it gives him something to do, but I do feel silly buying it

ugh, my Alice used to do that.. she would run back and forth to an igloo with mouth fulls of carefresh.. so I switched to YN in their litter boxes. I like to make sure somethings in there to help with the poop odour
