Oh how i adore you. So little and so sweet! You take food so gentle, yet will bite the heck out of me if i try to pet you. Which I am ok with, but when you eat through the 3rd keyboard in one month, I must draw the line!

Seriously, I have a drawer that my keyboard sets in, It can close, in which generally when she is out i dont leave her alone for a second. but I pushed the drawer in tonight didn't close the flap and she managed to weasel her little self back there and chomp! there goes another keyboard. I need an idea to protect my two cords, my mouse and my keyboard. It is only obvious that i cannot keep her out of there.

Any Ideas how to make these cords chew proof?

No on the laptop, and The cordless one wont work with the set up, it wont be able to reach it right to send the signals, wrong angles with my desk and the tower

I need some sort of idea to put the cord in, to protect it. I suck at rat proofing, which is why mine do not get on the floor LOL

You can buy cord covers, it's like a round coil thingie, go check out your dollar stores or even electronic stores and ask them about tubes that hide/protect cords. The covers won't stop her from chewing but it will buy you some time to catch her doing it.
The other alternative, block off the desk.

My old laptop was missing soooo many keys because of a certain rat that liked to wrestle them off of there. Up until recently, they were allowed near the new lappy only when it was closed...and then the other day, I realized my mouse wasn't working (hate the built in mousepad thing on laptops, always use a plug in regular mouse when possible.) I'm plugging and unplugging the mouse, trying to get the durn thing to unfreeze, and then realize the cord has been completely chewed through by some very sneaky creature...

Add this to the fact that my old printer was basically destroyed from the inside out by Barnaby, and I've decided that rats and electronics just don't mix.

Henry, our wonderful black lab, was a handful as a pup...ate the cordless mouse which short circuited the receiver and then resulted in a fried mother board...then he managed to climb on the dining room table and walked on my brand new laptop...which destroyed the screen ( LCD looked like it was "bleeding") and then, after getting yet another new laptop, he climbed on the swivel chair, knocked that said laptop on the floor and ..humm...danced on it?!...

i could go on with more stories but Henry is now 6.5 yrs old and those wild crazy days are behind him

I know toby dumped 3 cups of coffee in the ones before mally started eating the cords...

I cant block it off because that is part of their out time and how they get to me! If it did then thy would just stand on the table and try to jump at me lol
