So Treat and Boo were brought in this morning for their neuters. I picked them up at 1pm and they are doing amazing!
Treat is like nothing happened, Boo is a little more sleepy. Clearly Treat was done first. lol
I can't post pics yet, photobucket is doing maintenance. :fishbeat:

YAY to the big boys. Can't wait for Treats Blog about it all. When is Captain going to be done?

Captain is this Friday. I get all goosebumply just thinking about it. I'll be happy when I'll be done with it. For a while anyway. lol
Just looked at my bill... prices gone up again. A neuter is now $165 +tx. Ouch!

That's what ours cost Jo.

Holy Crow Ktina. That's insane. That's more expensive then a spay here. I would cringe to think how much a spay costs.

I just talked to a vet that Holly told me about close to where I live (about an hour drive) and he charges $40.00 for neuters and $75.00 for spays.....He said he has 20 years of experience with exotic animals...especially domestic rats. He sounded very nice on the phone and took the time to speak with me himself....I liked him. So I am excited to be able to get my boys done and then Piper and all her daughters. Not sure about Sydney yet she will be 2 years old next month but I will think about it......

Jorats, how does your vet do a neuter?
open? closed? below the scrotum or through the scrotum?
through the dorsal end of the scrotum?

I'm happy for you that all went well with Treat and Boo. How are they doing?
Good hopes that Captain 'sails' thru it on friday too.

Damn Jorats, you should have gone to vet school, you could have paid for it a couple times over by now I think, and you know how bad the Rat Vet situation can be.....

I know Fidget... the only problem, I'd be crying each time someone would bring in a hurt pet. lol

It's all good, I just send my husband out to work each day.

aach, the first time you sent one home well again you'd be hooked....

Hey, anyone want to join me in

3 cheers for Scott !!!!

:D Really, we ought to celebrate the agreeable significant others while we're celebrating the kids and hugging each other.

So how are Treat & Boo coming along?

Treat and Boo are miserable. They hate their hospital cage and have been climbing the bars since last night. They want out. So I get to get my butt in gear and clean their FN so I can add them back in.

The very next day, the boys are completely and totally back to their normal self. They have rejoined the colony and had a ball getting reacquainted with their cagemates.
